RFCT has an upcoming SHOW!
The River Falls Community Theatre (RFCT) is a member-driven, volunteer-run, and non-profit organization that produces live theater performances in River Falls, WI, and the surrounding areas.
Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable theater experiences for area residents of all ages and skill levels. All are invited to join the creative adventure of live theater.
For that purpose, RFCT was created in 1992 and is supported by area families, individuals, schools, businesses, and civic organizations. We operate through an all-volunteer board of directors, who meet monthly to plan our season and manage the affairs of our organization.
Until 2015, we were housed in the former River Falls Academy. We then moved to 108 E. Maple Street, where we shared space with the River Falls Community Arts Base until 2019. Currently, we rent storage space but have no central office space or permanent stage. We meet, rehearse, and perform at several venues in and around River Falls.
In 2020, we adopted a new name for our adult acting troupe: FishTale Players. Our goal was to advertise our adult productions more clearly to the public and to differentiate ourselves from the local movie house and other theater organizations. River Falls Community Theatre remains the organizational name for our High School Scholarship Program, our children’s theater opportunities, and any interfacing with the community.
The FishTale logo (circular drawing of two fish wearing the classical Greek comedy and tragedy masks) was developed to visually depict our adult acting troupe and tie it with symbols familiar to the City of River Falls.
